Deep Love For Vintage Swim

ABirdOfParadise Vintage Treasure Boutique

I just recently got back from the most amazing month and a half long trip to Indonesia. I got my hand on some awesome vintage swimsuits while visiting my friend Clari Thomas in Bali. She is a Stylist, Fashion Designer and Make Up Artist. Check her out you will be blown away. FYI she also designs modern swimwear @ StellarDust.

Deep is my passion for vintage swimwear. They just don't make swimwear like this anymore. Many of these suits have built in foundation garments that fit so nicely in all the right places.

As soon as I landed my mind was racing with fun ideas for a shoot for all these swimsuits. Lucky for me, my cousins Carly and Emily where game to do a shoot. We had such a good time getting all girly with the hair, make up and wardrobe. Here are some of my fave pics from the shoot.

Shout Out: FrikaChika By Carla Moran

A couple of months ago I styled &  shot some photo's for my good friend & designer Carla Moran. I want to share some of the images and give you a link to her etsy site, so you can check out some of her amazing work!

The Model is my good friend Stephanie Allen. We where hanging out on Easter cooking up a storm and thought it might be fun to do an impromptu photo shoot as well. I had some of Carla's Frika Chika stock on hand.

Just around the corner from my house in San Pedro, is an amazing shoot location at a vivid apartment complex. Right at the corner they have an active alter for the Virgin Mary. A bit further down there is an equally amazing wall mural at corner of Pacific Ave and W. 13th St., on the Random Lengths building.

Both I thought complemented the colors and the details of this amazing Pocahontas mini dress.

We had such a blast busting this mini shoot out. Big thanks to Carla Moran for loaning out her awesome dress and for using the images on her FrikaChika Etsy store.

Also big thanks to Stephanie Allen for modeling!

Do you like the dress? How about the pics? Does the model do it for you? Please share your comments.
